Highway 78 shut down after fatal wreck

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - North Charleston police responded to a fatal accident on Highway 78 and the 52 connector on Monday.

Spencer Pryor with the NCPD says one person has died and another was rushed to MUSC.

Anthony Smith, 38, from Goose Creek died in the wreck, according to the Charleston County Coroner.

The accident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday.

Highway 78 was shut downafter the accident, according to Pryor.
