CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) - Charleston firefighters fought a fire in downtown Charleston Monday night.

According to Mark Ruppel with the CFD, a call was received at 6:15 p.m. about a fire at 103 North Romney Street at the Bridgeview Apartments.

When crews arrived, flames could be seen through the roof from the second floor fire.

Ruppel said it appears two units were affected by the blaze, but more could have been damaged by smoke and water.

No injuries were sustained, and the fire is currently under control.  Electricity was pulled from the building and crews are working to restore it at this time.
