Firefighter bitten by dog while saving home from flames

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The North Charleston Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 3300 block of Florida Ave. just before midnight Monday night. 

According to Bianca Sancic, a spokesperson from the NCFD, firefighters reported smoke showing from the single story home. 

Sancic says the fire was put out quickly and limited to just one room. 

She said there was one reported injury -  a firefighter was treated for a dog bite.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
