CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A 14-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday after two Garrett Academy students said the boy had a gun at school.
The 14-year-old, who has not been identified, is also a student at the school.
A spokesman for the Charleston Police Department said officers were called to the school around 9 a.m. Tuesday after two other students reported the boy having the gun. When questioned, the boy denied having a gun.
Police later found a gun "over a fence outside of the school property," the spokesman said.
The boy has been charged with carrying a weapon on school property.
