
WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) - A man was convicted Thursday for a 2010 incident where police found over $100,000 worth of drugs in his home.
Solicitor Scarlett Wilson said 43-year-old Therron Richardson was sentenced to 30 years in prison on a cocaine traffic charge, with five consecutive years on a weapons charge.
According to Solicitor's Office officials, police responded to a call from a woman on October 17, 2012 who said her boyfriend hit and choked her.
When officers arrived at the home, they found five handguns, $26,000 dollars in cash, and over $120,000 worth of cocaine.
Richardson had previous convictions for trafficking cocaine, distribution of crack near a school, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a pistol.
