GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) – It's back to the boardroom for both Goose Creek and the South Carolina High School League on Monday.

Leaders from Goose Creek High will head to Columbia on Monday, after the team was disqualified and then temporarily re-instated last week.

"I feel very, very, very confident about the situation on Monday. We are going to focus on being able to play next Friday, whoever it is that we are going to play,"said Goose Creek Head Football Coach Chuck Reedy at Friday night's game against Bluffton.

Judge Roger Young said because the South Carolina High School League's decision to disqualify the team was made during a closed executive session and not a public meeting, the Judge could not make a decision about what the league knew about an ineligible student. This allowed Goose Creek to play Friday night, winning against Bluffton, and the Gators will continue their season unless the League says otherwise.

"Just very, very, very happy to be able to play-- number one-- and very able to get a win and be able to move on to the third round," Reed said.

The League must explain its decision in writing on Monday and it's something that has given some Goose Creek football players a last little bit of hope.

"It's 50/50, I'm going to keep praying to God and every night pray to my grandma that's who I'm playing my football career to the rest of my life, I love her, I miss her, but I'm going to keep praying for and hopefully we will be back third round," said Senior Goose Creek football player, Jalen Stevens.

The hearing will take place on Monday at 2 p.m. in Columbia at the League's headquarters. Stay with ABC News 4 for the latest updates.
