CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A man whom police say robbed a Rite Aid store earlier this month on Old Towne Road has turned himself in.

John H. Davey Jr., 22, turned himself in at Charleston police headquarters, 180 Lockwood Blvd., a spokesman for the department said in a news release.

Investigators say Davey entered the pharmacy around 3 pm. Nov. 13 and demanded Oxycodone from the pharmacy. He left the store with nearly 300 pills of the powerful painkiller, police said.

Davey is charged with strong-armed robbery.
