Shooting in North Charleston turns deadly

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The "shots fired" call went out just after 11 p.m. Tuesday. By the time police arrived one person had already been shot and killed.

Officials say the shooting happened along Cambridge Avenue in North Charleston. EMS was quickly called in. Officials say they found a male victim shot and killed inside a home. Another victim says two men entered the home during a robbery attempt. That's when they say the gunfire started.

The coroner has identified the victim as 30-year-old Sharrell Williams from North Charleston. The coroner confirms Williams died from gunshot wound.

The incident remains under investigation.
