NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- North Charleston firefighters responded to two minor fires Wednesday morning.
No one was injured in either incident.
The first fire was reported at 7:47 a.m. in the 7600 block of Hunter's Ridge Lane. There, firefighters found "a small amount of damage to a closet" because of an electrical short, according to a news release from the North Charleston Fire Department.
The second fire was reported just minutes later, at 8 a.m., in the 2900 block of North Oakridge Circle.
At that location, firefighters found "light to moderate smoke" coming from the home. A resident there had been cooking and a grease fire started, firefighters said.
