Red Cross to hold blood drive Tuesday for Hurricane Sandy victims

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - The Red Cross is holding a blood drive on Tuesday to help Hurricane Sandy Victims.

The drive will be near Patriots Point at 28 Bridgeside Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The drive is at the Motley Rice LLC headquarters. You can register for a donation time by visiting www.redcrossblood.org and entering the sponsor code: "motleyrice."

Red Cross officials say Hurricane Sandy caused the cancellation of 370 blood drives in 13 states, resulting in a loss of nearly 12,500 units of blood and platelets.
