Police: Man armed with taser robs gas station

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) -- Walterboro police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Shell station on Jefferies Blvd. Monday.

According to police reports, the clerk said she saw a black male, wearing all black with his face covered, come into the store and demand money.

She told police that she didn't answer him so he came behind the counter himself and took the cash drawer and ran off.

The clerk said the suspect had a taser but didn't threaten to use it. Police say they don't know how much money he got away with but they valued the cash drawer itself at $1,500.
