Assignment Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:  Independently assigns news coverage for news staff including interviews, b-roll opportunities and live shots.  Monitors news gathering of crews and coordinates with on air and online producers. Orders satellite time as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:  College degree in Journalism, Mass Communications or equivalent. Related experience will be evaluated by department management and may be substituted. Minimum of one year experience on TV news assignment desk or other related news-gathering position. Displays good news judgment and maintains high journalistic standards. Available to work occasional weekends, evenings and holidays.  Working knowledge of market a plus.
