USC holds holiday art sale to fund school artists

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The University of South Carolina's Art Department is holding its annual holiday sale.

Art works created by USC faculty and students available at Friday's sale include artworks, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and prints.

Items are on sale from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the McMaster College and Gallery.

Proceeds from the sale are used to pay for visiting artists and equipment for the art department.

The department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in art education, art history, art studio, and media arts.
