Walterboro man shot while walking down the street

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCIV) - A Walterboro man was shot walking down the street Thursday night.

Walterboro Public Safety officials say around 7:27 p.m. Thursday, 26-year-old Derrick Walker was walking on Hampton Street near Hosey's Package Shop when he was shot in the lower left leg. 

According to Public Safety officials, Walker did not know the people who shot at him.

Walker was transported to Colleton Regional Medical Center.
