MOUNT PLEASANT, S. C. (WCIV) -- As the search for Brittanee Drexel continues, a new sketch of what she would look like today has been released.

A forensic artist for the Cue Center for Missing Persons has released an aged progression sketch of Drexel who was seventeen when she disappeared from Myrtle Beach while on spring break in April of 2009.

"We try not to ask for too many age progressions, but it's for the cases that have gone on for a length of time, you certainly wouldn't do an age progression for a year but anywhere between 3 and maybe 5 years," said Monica Caison of the CUE Center for Missing Persons.

Several searches have been conducted in the search for Drexel, including some here in the Lowcountry, but all have turned up empty. Monica Caison of the CUE center says a sketch like this helps to refresh people's memories.

"We've gotten a few calls today but nothing that is earth shattering; it's just basically things that they've seen that type of person in the general area and we've been able to run down that information very quickly," Caison said. "Until you have a body you still have hope so we don't discount any person being alive until you do have a body or other information."

"We do continue to search for Brittanee, as well as law officials, and we just remain hopeful-- there are miracle stories out there all the time."

You're asked to call the Center For Missing Persons' 24-hour tip line at 910-232-1687 if you know anything about Drexel's disappearance.
