BAMBERG, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to meet one-on-one with residents in her hometown of Bamberg.

Haley is slated to hold the meetings starting at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bamberg Town Hall. But anyone wanting to discuss issues with the governor must sign up by calling Haley's office at 803-734-2100 between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Friday. Appointments for the 10-minute meetings will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Haley grew up in Bamberg County, where her mother taught social studies in middle school and her father was a professor of biology at nearby Voorhees College.

The meetings mark her 16th round of constituent meetings. After winning office, Haley decided to continue the practice started by former Gov. Mark Sanford.
