CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A local non-profit, known for its work with disabled children, is getting help from country singer and Hootie & the Blowfish frontman, Darius Rucker.
A company called OneHope Wine has teamed up with the singer to create a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that sells for $60. According to the company's website, eight of those dollars will go to Pattison's Academy and another $6 will go to a charity of the buyer's choice.
"It is important to me to help ensure a better life for children, which is why I have been a strong supporter of Pattison's P.A.C.E charter school since its doors first opened," said Rucker. "It provides a comprehensive education program that integrates educational curricula with functional rehabilitation instruction to maximize the potential and well-being for children with multiple disabilities."
The first in a series, the wine comes in a custom made wooden box with Darius Rucker's signature featured on the front of the bottle.
