NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – A North Charleston man was arrested Friday and charged with an Oct. 27 armed robbery and burglary.
According to the Charleston Police Department, Tevin Kashawn Beaton, 20, was charged with four counts of armed robbery, two counts of first-degree assault and battery and 10 counts of kidnapping.
Beaton is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center, police said.
According to police, three masked men entered a Riverland Drive apartment early the morning of Oct. 27 and ransacked the apartment after restraining the victims. One of the victims was also sexually assaulted, police said.
After ransacking that home, police said the suspects then forced one of the victims to knock on a neighboring window so they could get inside that apartment, assault and rob those residents.
Police have not identified the other two robbers.
Anyone with information about them or the incident can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
