A screenshot of the Cool Bus website that shows the same Guilty Pleasures advertisement on the busMOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) - Town officials on Monday addressed an "inappropriate sign" that appeared on a float in the Mount Pleasant Christmas Parade Sunday night.
The Charleston Cool Bus displayed an advertisement banner for Guilty Pleasures on the side of the bus.
Town Administrator Eric Demoura released a statement that reads:
"We are aware that a sign advertising an adult-themed business appeared on a float at the town of Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade. The Town neither sanctioned nor approved the advertising. The party responsible for the float failed to disclose its inclusion on the required entry form and displayed the sign without notice to town officials. We do not support the adult-themed advertising presented on the float. The language was contrary to the family-friendly nature of the parade and brought controversy to an otherwise exceptional parade."
