DANIEL ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) – Police arrested a Daniel Island man Tuesday morning after the man's girlfriend told officers he had inappropriately touched her daughter.
According to a police report, 51-year-old Kenneth Wayne Lloyd was accused of kissing and fondling his girlfriend's 12-year-old daughter on two separate incidents.
The report states that the woman, her daughter and Lloyd were all lying in a bed watching television on Nov. 11 when the girlfriend got up to make coffee. While she was out of the room, Lloyd allegedly kissed the girl's neck and mouth and tried to insert his tongue into her mouth. He also allegedly put his hand down the girl's pants and inserted a finger inside her vagina, the girl later told her mother.
The touching stopped when the girl's mother returned to the bedroom.
A week later, there was another incident, according to the report.
In the second incident, the three were again in the master bedroom and the touching allegedly started when Lloyd's girlfriend left the room to take a shower. According to the police report, Lloyd touched the 12-year-old in the same ways he had a week earlier. He also guided the girl's hand to his crotch, the report states.
Again, the touching stopped when the girl's mother returned from her shower.
The girl's mother said her daughter told her about the touching on Nov. 23. When she found out, she packed the girl a bag and sent her to stay with family in North Carolina and emailed Lloyd telling him to stay away from her and her daughter.
She then contacted police.
Lloyd was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct against a minor. Records indicate he is not currently in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
