CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – Employees of SCE&G were packing up groceries on Tuesday as part of their Good Neighbor Project.
The project is funded entirely by employee donations and 100 percent of the money goes to needy families across the Lowcountry.
"We are helping 250 needy families throughout the Charleston area. We help needy families throughout the year, but this is the big event that we hold every year," said Tina Thombs. "We deliver. We've prepared the baskets and we'll deliver the baskets throughout the day."
SCE&G employees have been identifying and helping neighbors in need since 1983.
In that time, they have helped more than 10,000 families.
