CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – The woman who claims her 101-year-old grandfather was abused by a nursing home employee held a press conference with her attorney on Thursday.

Julia Johnston said 44-year-old Deasmond Kimbrough, a former Mount Pleasant Manor employee, physically and sexually abused her grandfather. On Thursday, Johnston released a recording she said is her grandfather detailing the abuse.

"What did you say?" one person asks in the recording.

"I said, ‘You're killing me. It's hurting so bad,'" a man responds.

Police charged Kimbrough with abuse of a vulnerable adult. Johnston said she plans to file a civil suit against the nursing home.
