CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – At the Families Helping Families warehouse on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, it looks a lot like Santa's workshop for the families.
On Thursday, employees from Alcoa played the part of elves. Not only did the employees sponsor five families, they also spent the day packing, sorting and spreading holiday happiness.
"We have done several things similar to this, but this Families Helping Families is touching. It's touching just to see some of the things people ask for that we all take for granted. It is a necessity – and that you have to ask for that for Christmas, that is amazing," said Yvonne Infinger.
Donations and gift cards are being accepted through Saturday at the Sam Rittenberg location.
