3 arrested on narcotics charges in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Three people were arrested last week on narcotics charges after Charleston police officers served a warrant at their Spring Street home. 

Daniel John McKenzie, John Gale Cornett III, and Alexandra Elaine Schatten were arrested.

McKenzie was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. He was on probation for a narcotics charge at the time of his arrest, police said. 

Cornett and Schatten were both charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. 

Police confiscated two grams of cocaine, 61 grams of marijuana and more than $3,600 in cash. The arrests came after concerned citizens stepped forward to provided police with information. 

All three suspects are being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
