Investigation firm replaced by the Citadel after process becomes too costly

Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Some changes are being made in the way The Citadel is handling their internal investigation into accused child molester Louis "Skip" Reville.

One of the firms hired to do the investigation, Manuel, Daniels and Burke International LLC, is no longer involved in the case because it apparently became too expensive.

The school has now hired a new firm, Margolis, Healy and Associates. Two firms will hand the internal investigation, which is now expected to be completed in March.

Joe McCulloch, the attorney for the Board of Visitors who was hired as a liaison between the board and the firms performing the investigation, said he hopes people understand that the school is trying to be responsible with money while also completely delving into the investigation.
