CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- State police said Thursday afternoon that two missing Chesterfield County children had been located and the kidnapping suspect had been arrested.
The children were found in Union County, N.C. around noon, according to the ABC affiliate in Charlotte, N.C., WSOC-TV.
State Law Enforcement Division officers were looking for a 5-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl who were reportedly abducted at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
According to SLED, Dennis Matthew Penny III, 5, and Grace Elizabeth Penny, 2, were taken by their estranged father, 37-year-old Dennis Matthew Penny II.
