NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies responded to Bryndis Bar on Ashley Phosphate Road for reports of a hit and run Saturday night.
According to the incident report, responding deputies found a woman lying in the parking lot and a male victim "near the drain culvert at the end of the parking lot."
A witness told deputies that a fight had broken out in the parking lot and two Hispanic males were seen "getting into a white Ford van with ladders on top" and Alabama license plates. The witness said the men were intoxicated and as the van drove off, seven people were hit and it appeared as if the driver "never let off the gas pedal."
The van was found at an apartment complex in the area and the suspect, 22-year-old Alvaro Zuniga-Rivas, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.
Three of the victims could not speak to police "due to their injuries."
