Liquor store clerk robbed at gunpoint Friday afternoon

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Detectives are trying to identify a man involved in an armed robbery at the Wholesale Liquors store located at 1610 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. in West Ashley.

Deputies said the armed robbery occurred around 1:15 p.m. Friday afternoon. According to deputies, the man entered the store with a gun and approached the clerk behind the counter.

The suspect left the store with an undetermined amount of cash.
