'Hope to Dream' program putting kids in new beds this Christmas
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Ashley Furniture Home Stores across the state of South Carolina are putting kids in new beds this holiday season.
The "Hope to Dream" program was started just three months ago. Five dollars from every bed purchased goes toward the program that delivers new beds to kids that need them.
"These children that are out there and don't have any place to sleep. That's why we're very thankful that you're here. We need to spread the word that we need those referals from the public to identify these kids, so we can help them out. Thats what we really want to do," said Ashely Furniture North Charleston Manager Scott Freeman.
Ashley Furniture of North Charleston is delivering over a dozen beds to kids across the Lowcountry this weekend.
Freeman says they hope to continue this program on a regular basis, not just during the holiday season.
Children are selected to receive the beds through a referral program. You can find more information on how to refer a child by CLICKING HERE.
