Crash claims life on Christmas Eve

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Monday morning it is investigating a deadly crash.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury identified the victim as 29-year-old Alexandria Nicole Vose of Huger.

The SCHP said the wreck happened along Cainhoy Road at Red Hill Road just after 3 a.m. Monday.

Officials said the driver of an S.U.V ran off Cainhoy Road and overcorrected. That's when members of the SCHP said the SUV flipped several times. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed in the crash.

Vose's death was ruled accidental. Salisbury said she was ejected from the car during the crash.
