CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A few Lowcountry families got an early Christmas gift delivered to their homes on Christmas Eve -- and they can't be kept in a box under the tree.
The Charleston Animal Society dropped off adopted pets to their new families. It was all part of their "12 Strays of Christmas" campaign.
"I have a passion for animals and at this time of year, you want to do for others and it makes me feel very, very warm inside," said Cindy Branscome, one of Santa Paws' helpers.
If your family is looking to adopt a pet, it's not too late. The society has plenty of furry friends ready for a forever home.
