CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Surveillance video shows a man breaking into a downtown Charleston liquor store on Dec. 26 and stealing a handgun and money from the store.
According to police, Burris Liquor Store on Meeting Street was burglarized in the early morning hours of Dec. 26. Police said surveillance video shows a masked man breaking a window at 1:30 a.m. After 90 minutes, the man entered the store an stole a .38-caliber handgun and an undetermined amount of cash from the registers.
Officers found the security system's communication lines had also been severed.
Police said there were no reported alarm activations for Dec. 26.
Police described the man as a black man under 6 feet tall wearing a tan jacket, dark jeans, white tennis shoes and a ski mask.
