Deputy's car struck while working another accident

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an accident involving a Charleston County Deputy Sheriff that happened Thursday night on Highway 78.

According to officials with the CCSO, deputies were in the middle of working an auto-pedestrian accident when the second wreck occurred.

The victim of the auto pedestrian accident was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one was hurt in the second incident.

Deputies are still looking for information on the unknown vehicle involved in the auto pedestrian accident. The suspect left the scene and no information is known about the vehicle or the driver involved.
