ST. STEPHEN, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police in St. Stephen are investigating the shooting of a 15-year-old and they believe the fight was over a girl.
According to St. Stephen Police Chief John Waters, police got the call early Monday morning from a Nings Place mobile home park.
Waters said police arrived to the St.Stephen Citgo where a 15-year-old was found shot three times: in the hand, arm and back.
Investigators said there was a fight between the 15-year-old and 18-year-old Jordan Johnson.
Chief Waters told us they've only
talked to Johnson so far. Police believe it was a dispute over a girl but that this is
only half the story.
Police also believe Johnson was grazed by a bullet in the head, and that
both boys fired shots.
Johnson was treated and is fine. The 15-year-old is at MUSC and Chief Waters said ha also appears to be fine.
