GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- A mobile home caught fire on Oakside Drive in Goose Creek Monday night and now the owner of the trailer says he thinks it was arson.

Officials have released few details, but ABCNews4 has learned that the Berkeley County Sheriffs Office has arrested one person for disorderly conduct in connection with the fire.

Three cats and two dogs were pulled from the home. We talked to a neighbor who said he helped rescue the animals. He says they're doing well and are in the custody of the SPCA.

According to Berkeley County court documents, the resident, Clyde Smith, was issued a rule to vacate on Jan. 7. Neighbors told ABC News 4 they believe Smith set the fire because he was evicted.

According to documents at the Berkeley County Detention Center, Clyde Arnold Smith, Jr. has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

According to an incident report from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, the owner of the home said Smith was served an eviction notice and was "not very happy about it."

"The witness spoke earlier in the day with the suspect and the suspect became upset and stated 'You won't ever get this trailer, I'll burn it to the ground,'" the report states.

The report also says Smith denies knowing how the fire started and "kept stating he didn't do it."

The owner has filed a complaint of suspected arson to the Berkeley County Sheriff's office.
