Report: Another issue for Boeing 787 Dreamliner

Posted: Updated:

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Another 787 Boeing Dreamliner was grounded Friday during a domestic flight in Japan, according to a report in USA TODAY.

USA TODAY cites Reuters and Bloomberg in a report that the windscreen of the plane developed a crack about an hour into a flight bound on Friday. Sources say a "spider-web-like-crack" developed in the area right in front of the pilot's seat.

The flight landed safely. A return flight to Tokyo had to be canceled.

The New York Times reports there were no injuries as a result of the unscheduled landing.

USA TODAY also cited Reuters and unnamed sources, saying the Federal Aviation Administration will announce a review Friday into the 787 Dreamliner's power system.

The incident Friday is one of several for the Boeing Dreamliner this week. The incidents have varied from computer problems to fuel leaks.
