Police release sketch of armed robbery suspect

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Police on Friday released a sketch of the man they say tried to rob a person on Jan. 3 in front of the Tenichi Grill on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard in West Ashley.

According to police, the robber is a black man about 6 feet tall with dark skin. He was wearing black Air Force Ones, a dark hoodie with a red shirt under it. He had a scruffy beard and a prominent scar under his eye. 

Police said the man pulled out a kitchen knife and demanded the victim's belongings. 

Any information can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
