2 children removed from McGrew home after recent dog bite

Posted: Updated:

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Department of Social Services confirmed agents removed two children from the home of Quintin and Chantel McGrew after a second dog bit incident.

Earlier this week, Berkeley County Sheriff's deputies were investigating a report of the McGrew's 3-year-old boy being bitten by a dog.

A family member said the boy was sleeping when he fell off the bed onto the dog and the dog bit him because it was startled.

No charges have been filed in the case.

The McGrew's 2-month-old baby was killed last May after he was mauled by another family dog. Quintin McGrew is awaiting trial on an unlawful neglect of a child charge in that case.
