File Photo (WCIV)MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - The Harley-Davidson dealer in Myrtle Beach has set the dates for this year's motorcycle rally.
The Sun-News of Myrtle Beach reports the rally will be held May 13 through the 19. That's similar to the dates that MyrtleBeachBikeWeek.com is promoting, May 10-19.
The dealership's effort last year to create one two-week bike rally instead of having the Harley rally followed by Atlantic Beach Bikefest during Memorial Day created confusion and criticism.
General Manager Cindy Fine says the attempt to combine the festivals last year didn't work and the dealership will not try that again.
