ANDREWS, S.C. (WCIV) -- Georgetown County deputies arrested two people on charges of stealing copper wire from a business.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies were dispatched to Andrews Wire Friday afternoon on reports of suspicious noise coming from the building. While clearing the building, deputies found a man hiding and a woman trying to run from the area in a vehicle.

Deputies identified the duo as 31-year-old James Matthew Chavis and 25-year-old Denise Ard.

Chavis and Ard were charged with third-degree burglary and possessing burglary tools. More charges may be pending, officials said.

Chavis and Ard are currently being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
