Cross convenience store robber arrested

CROSS, S.C. (WCIV) -- The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they believe robbed the Cross Convenience Store last week.

The robbery happened on Old Highway Six January 8.

Dan Moon with the BCSO says a tip came in after local media aired and printed the story, including surveillance video.

Michael Fennick, Jr., 37, of Moncks Corner, was arrested early Sunday evening and is charged with  strong armed robbery and assault and battery in the third degree.

Moon said Fennick had just been released from jail last November after posting bond for another charge of strong armed robbery in the Moncks Corner area.
