GEORGETOWN, S.C. (WCIV) -- Two men were arrested and charged with shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter in the city of Georgetown. Two more men are being sought in connection to the crime.

According to Georgetown County Sheriff's deputies, 23-year-old Christopher McWhite and 27-year-old James Gamble were detained by officers.

Deputies became involved in the incident shortly before 5 a.m. on Jan. 12 when they responded to reports of a car fleeing the Walmart. Deputies tried to stop the car, but the driver turned into the Tractor Supply parking lot, lost control and crashed into the building, according to a report.

Deputies saw four people exit the car and run for a wooded area near the back side of the store. One of the men was arrested during the chase, deputies said.

A second was caught a short time later, the report states.
