Former Fort D standout visits school Wednesday

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- Carlos Dunlap, defensive end for the Cincinnati Bengals, will visit Goodwin Elementary School on Wednesday to talk about health and life in the NFL. 

Dunlap, a Fort Dorchester High School standout and former Florida Gators Defensive End, had 35 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss, and tied for the team lead with seven sacks. Dunlap was named MVP of the 2009 FedEx BCS National Championship Game, where the Gators defeated Oklahoma 24-14 to win their second BCS title in three seasons.

Dunlap, one of the best defensive end in the entire 2010 NFL Draft class, was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals as the 22nd pick in the 2nd round (54 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.
