One dead in Goose Creek accident - WCIV-TV | ABC News 4 - Charleston News, Sports, Weather

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) -- Highway 17-A in Goose Creek was shut down after a serious accident that claimed one life near the St. James Avenue intersection.

The Berkeley County coroner tells us that 62 year-old Allen James of Charleston laid his motorcycle down to avoid a collision.

James was then run over by a sedan heading in the same direction. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet.
