
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C (WCIV) - Charleston Southern University has called a Thursday afternoon news conference to introduce Jamey Chadwell as their new Head Football Coach. Chadwell will replace Jay Mills who resigned earlier in the month.
Chadwell was a former Charleston Southern assistant coach from 2004 - 2008 before leaving to take the head coaching position at North Greenville. In 2011 he led the Crusaders to the NCAA Division 2 playoffs.
Chadwell a graduate and former player at East Tennessee State just completed his first season at Delta State where he finished with a 3-7 record.
Thursday's news conference is schedule for 1 PM.
