BERKELY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) -- Firefighters are still on the scene of a large brush fire in North Charleston.

At least two fire departments have responded to the scene, but the North Charleston Fire Department is the lead agency.

Officials tell us that smokey conditions are possible across the interstate throughout the night, depending on the wind conditions.

The fire has been contained but not before it burned approximately 50 acres of land between highway 78 and College Park road along I-26.

No injuries have been reported but a group of abandoned trailers in a wooded area were destroyed in the fire.
