BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV/AP) -- Google said Thursday to expect a major announcement from their Berkeley Country data center on Friday.
Gov. Nikki Haley, state Sen. Paul Campbell and county supervisor Dan Davis will join the data center's operations manager for the announcement.
Google has said Friday's announcement is related to the data center at the site.
The Internet giant opened a $600 million data center on the campus five years ago. It's been building a second data center on the same site near Moncks Corner. Company officials have said that center is to open this year.
The current data center now employs about 110 workers.
