Man, 66, killed in morning wreck

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- A 66-year-old man from Summerville died Thursday morning when his car crossed the center line and collided with an 18-wheeler.

Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nesbit identified the victim as Charles Rearick.

An autopsy was scheduled Thursday night to see if a medical condition caused the accident and Rearick's death or if his death was the result of the accident, Nesbit said.

On Friday, Nesbit confirmed Rearick died from the traffic accident and not a medical episode prior to accident.
