Colleton deputies looking into death of Cottageville man

COTTAGEVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) -- Deputies in Colleton County are looking into the shooting death of a Cottageville teen.

According to the Colleton County Sheriff's Office, deputies were sent to a Rehoboth Road home Thursday afternoon  after a 911 caller told dispatchers that her brother had been shot.

Deputies said the woman found him with the wound. The teen, whose identity is being withheld, died at the scene.

Deputies think the shooting may have been self-inflicted, but deputies are investigating until they can rule out homicide.
