Stingrays receive Brodie, future considerations from Stockton

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) – The South Carolina Stingrays announced Friday that the team has received defenseman Cameron Brodie and future considerations from the Stockton Thunder in exchange for forward Shawn Weller.

Brodie, 24, skated in 30 games with Stockton this season netting one goal and six assists for seven points. In three ECHL seasons, all with Stockton, the White Rock, British Columbia, native totaled 26 points (three goals, 23 assists) over 142 contests. Prior to turning pro, Brodie attended the University of British Columbia for one season registering three points (two goals, one assist) in 12 games.

Weller, 26, dressed in 24 games with the Stingrays grabbing seven goals and eight assists for 15 points.
